Sharing Sacred Spaces

Sharing Sacred Spaces is a charitable organization founded by Suzanne Morgan, an architect, who discovered the great power of sharing spaces to educate and build inclusive communities. Sharing Sacred Spaces’ landmark program, The Interreligious Communities Project, brings together people from diverse faiths in a local geographical area to increase inter-religious respect, harmony and understanding. Participants learn about each other’s faith and values through the architecture and furnishings of their houses of worship. As the process unfolds the participants work together to create a statement of shared values and identify a common project for their neighborhood. First Lutheran has been part of the Toronto Sharing Sacred Spaces project – the first in Canada – since the beginning in the fall of 2019.
